If there's one thing to know about me, it's this: I am genuinely fascinated by people. I find such beauty in human connection and the stories that people share. It's why I became a photographer: using my artistic talent to document stories of love, family, and celebration is a dream come true.
I've been fortunate enough to live in some awesome places. I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. First I went east — attending college at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio — before heading west in Colorado Springs, where I now live with my husband, Mike, and our dog, Cooper. Mike is a University of Michigan alum (Go Blue!) who is serving our country in the U.S. Air Force. I couldn't be more proud! Together we love to explore coffee shops and cook dinner (he cooks the best Italian food!).
Then there's Cooper, the adorable addition to our family. He's a sweet little shepherd/Lab rescue, who hates toys but loves to sing.
It'd be hard to introduce me without talking about the sport that helped shape me: figure skating. Skating was my first love (sorry, Mike!). I started when I was four, and five years later, discovered synchronized skating. Synchronized skating is a beautiful, elegant, and complex sport with 16-20 athletes moving in unison across the ice, creating different shapes and forms with remarkable speed and complex turns. Thirteen seasons later, I had fulfilled many lifelong dreams being a part of an extraordinary and unique sport. I loved the spotlight and having my photo taken, but I really loved the feeling I got from being a part of a team and a community.

A Few of My Favorite Things
Local coffee shops! I’m a coffee addict and like espresso to be rich, flavorful with a smooth consistency.
Cooking (favorite cuisines: seafood, Indian, Mexican), especially with my husband, Mike. He is a great cook and traveled to Italy where he learned how to make homemade pasta in Tuscany.
Working out! Cycling, swimming, lifting weights, high intensity intervals, going on long walks with my dog, Cooper, and Sunday morning yoga - I love it all and it’s a consistent routine in my life!
Finding local boutiques - window shopping, which often turns into buying something, but I’ve become more selective over the years with what I actually buy and keep.
Summertime at the pool! I could spend hours sun tanning and jumping in and out of the pool to cool off.
Calling my closet friends and chatting with them for hours. We don’t need anything super important to talk about, we just like catching up and reminiscing.

Believe me, I get it: there's so much about booking a photo session that can feel daunting. From finding the right person to capture your story to feeling awkward in front of the camera, there's a lot to think about! But I'm here to make it easy. I come from Wisconsin, where we value hard work, connection, and trust. I'll work hard for you — not only in beautifully documenting your story, but also in making sure that you have a great experience.
MY GOAL IS TO ARRIVE ON SITE FEELING LIKE OLD FRIENDS
We'll spend time getting to know each other before your shoot so we arrive on site feeling like old friends. I'll come armed with prompts and strategies to make you feel so comfortable, you'll forget I'm there! And, I'll cut back on any post-shoot anxieties with a guaranteed photo preview within 24-48 hours after your shoot.

A Snapshot of our Love for Years to Come
Sarah is an incredible photographer! My fiancé and I are not very comfortable behind a camera, but Sarah made our engagement photos such an enjoyable and fun experience with her great prompts and easygoing personality. I Want to Get Married Over and Over Again Just so I Can Use Her as My Photographer
Sarah is amazing. She was so helpful in figuring out exactly what my husband and I needed within our tight budget. She went above and beyond to personalize everything and really got to know who we were as a couple. Her skills of finding the most flattering poses naturally, and being able to just capture moments without cue, are the best I’ve seen! I want to get married over and over again just so I can use her as my photographer.

She Was So Kind and Willing to Work with Us
Sarah did an amazing job on our engagement photos! She took the time to coordinate with my (now) fiancé to plan a proposal shoot while we were on vacation in Colorado. Rain delayed our photoshoot and Sarah was more than willing to reschedule and accommodate our needs. I'm sure she knew how important this was to my fiancé and she made it happen. Sarah Made the Whole Experience Super Fun
